Hardships and Frustrations encountered

Hardships

1. We could not login after we installed Sabayon

Day by Day Schedual

Monday September 4, 2012

1. We obtained a working hard drive.
2. Burned Linux Mint onto a DVD using an .iso image.
3. Opened the cover of computer and unplugged the SATA and Powercable for default Hard drive.
4. Inserted new Hard Drive and disc.
5. Booted to CD Burner 1st.
6. Started to install Linux Mint.
7. Recorded and answered questions to the questions on the Linux Project Packet.
8. Played with Linux Mint for sometime.


Tuesday September 5 ,2012


1. We obtained Linux Mint Hard Drive.
2. Burned Linux Sabayon onto a DVD using an .iso image.
3. Opened the cover of computer and unplugged the SATA and Powercable for default Hard drive.
4. Inserted Hard Drive and disc.
5. Booted to CD Burner 1st.
6. Started to install Linux Sabayon.
7. Recorded and answered questions to the questions on the Linux Project Packet.
8. While installing, we got an error
9. We restarted computer and tried to install a 2nd time.


Wednesday September 6,2012


1. We tried to install Sabayon and it worked
2. Login failed
3. Began installing Ubuntu
4. Could not figure out how to install Ubuntu


Thursday September 7th, 2012



1. Tried to install Ubuntu again.
2. Could not install because we cannot install programs on it.
3. Created Ubuntu Desktop disc
4. Began installing Ubuntu Desktop
5. Explored and played with it.
